What Kirsty Faulkner has to say about her Leak Detector
I was getting ready for our last day of diving at a dive resort in Bali, Indonesia and as usual did the 'pre-dive dunk' of my camera in the water tank at the resort. All good, no bubbles that I could see, no problem. I placed the camera next to me on the step as I finished putting the rest of my gear on. Only then did I notice that the bright red warning light of the leak detector was staring at me. I'm pretty sure my heart stopped right then!
I quickly snapped open my housing and let the water out, (probably only about 20ml), took the camera out to make sure it was ok and it was all dry. I still don't know how the water got in, I didn't notice any bubbles and all the snap locks were firmly in place. I'm just so glad that I always 'do the dunk' before going for a dive! I can't imagine what would have happened if I had of been on a dive... Thanks Jeff for your amazing Leak Detector - it saved me a lot of heartache!
